          The Blue Star Banner Program of Crystal Lake wishes to express our heartfelt gratitude to Elizabeth Ann Seaton Knights of Columbus as well as VFW Fox River Post 4600 for their $500 donation to our program. Without the support of community members, the program could not continue to purchase the 6’X3’ banners displayed along the section of Rt. 14 officially known as Heroes Row.  Our committee offers our deepest thanks for helping support and advance this program in order show our community members who serve our country that we have not forgotten them and are grateful for their service. 

     As a sponsor of our program, these organizations have made an important contribution to ensure active duty men and women from Crystal Lake are recognized for protecting our country and encouraging the vital role of our military in training our future leaders.  The Blue Star Banner Program has become a proud city tradition by displaying banners that underscore the patriotism that makes our nation great.  It also acknowledges the important contributions for the greater good of our nation made by the families of these individuals.  The recognition of these service members is the city’s way of thanking them for their service and is a reminder to our citizens that we owe these individuals for our continued freedom.
