My Father's World Preschool is looking for a preschool aide in our 2's room. This part-time position is for Monday, Wednesday & Friday from 8:30 am-12:15 pm. Position runs from Mid-August 2025 until the end of May 2026. Review and potential renewal of contract available at the end of May 2026. The position of Teacher's Aide pays $15 an hour with potential increase upon review.

The primary responsibilities are to support the preschool teachers by assisting with various tasks to facilitate a safe, nurturing and educational environment for young children. Duties include to help implement curriculum, supervise children, manage classroom routines, and assist with individual needs of each child, including hygiene and personal care.

Aides provide continuous supervision of children to ensure their safety and well-being during all activities including outdoor and indoor play, transitions, and snack time.

Aides help with personal care such as toileting, handwashing, and changing diapers, as well as providing first aid and addressing any individual needs of the children.

Aides assist with classroom routines, such as setting up and cleaning the classroom and supplies, managing student behavior, and organizing materials.

My Father's World Preschool will work with you to become DCFS Lead Teacher qualified and further your education through professional development opportunities, trainings and certificates through Gateways and other avenues.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

Pass a background check with fingerprinting. Complete paid training prior to entering the classroom.

Expected to participate in paid professional development opportunities related to early childhood education.

Program Overview

My Father’s World Preschool offers children the help they need to develop spiritually, socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively. Programs are age, need, interest, and developmentally based. Teachers interact with children one-on-one and in group situations to promote and develop a healthy and positive self-esteem in each child. As we are a mission of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, children are learning about the awesome creation that God has given us. Children participate in a mini program called “Jesus Time” and attend chapel every other week. Children are taught Christian songs and how to offer prayers.

My Father’s World is blessed to have bright classrooms, research computers, a carpeted gym, a fenced playground, and 9 acres of natural surroundings to investigate and explore. Our facilities are handicapped accessible. Each classroom has a teacher and a co-teacher. Our teachers are trained in education and continue to improve their teaching skills by attending conferences and workshops.

Parents are always welcome to help in the classroom and are encouraged to be part of the Preschool Committee. The children of My Father’s World Preschool learn to serve by participating in mission projects, such as The Blessing Barn, Crystal Lake Food Pantry, Ronald McDonald House, and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. My Father’s World hosts events for our families and the community, such as Playdate With Me and our annual Fun Fair and Silent Auction. We offer opportunities to participate in weekly worship services, as well as our annual Thanksgiving Celebration and Christmas program.
