Our client in Spring Grove, IL, is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join their team! In this role, you will collaborate closely with engineering staff and machine operators to efficiently coordinate the machining of workpieces. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented machinist looking to contribute to a dynamic team! This is a Direct-Hire opportunity!

Location: Spring Grove, IL

Pay: $25 to $35/hr Based on Experience

Hours: Monday to Friday l 8:00am to 5:00pm

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling and turning machines with precision
• Program CNC equipment as needed and ensure proper setup for various projects
• Accurately read and interpret blueprints, ensuring adherence to Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) specifications
• Gauge and inspect finished workpieces to confirm they meet exact tolerance requirements
• Conduct regular maintenance and promptly troubleshoot any issues to ensure optimal machine performance

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a machinist, particularly with CNC and/or manual machines such CNC Mills and Lathes (Fanuc, Haas and Mazatrol)
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and GD&T; strong understanding of machining processes, including milling, turning
• Proficiency with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
