Join us to learn the three most fundamental components of nonprofit budgeting; starting with operational budgeting for nonprofit agencies, programmatic budgeting for service program offerings and ending with grant application budgets. The presenters will break down the similarities and differences in each of these budget techniques as well as connecting them to each other. Examples and exercises will be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring budgets from their own organizations for reference. Objectives:. Operational Budgets: Learn why, when, and how to budget the operations of your organization. (Be sure to bring your own organizations operational budget, if available!) Programmatic Budgets: How to identify and categorize programmatic expenses and related revenue to evaluate the break-even point of your organization’s programs. Fundraising budgets will also be covered. Grant Budgets: How to compile effective budgets for use in grant applications. Hear from a grant funder about the tips and tricks of effective grant budgets.
